Betrayal by what we thought was a friend is always soul-searing. How can they do that? What did I do to cause this? Can it be fixed? Sometimes it can’t. Debra (Penelope Ann Miller) befriends Katie (Jessica Simpson) by offering to do her fake resume, stealing her ideas, demeaning her to colleagues and torpedoing her self-esteem. But karma is always in the wings and it is toting up the score.
