D.O.A. (1988)

D.O.A.

What would you do if you knew you were going to die in the not so distant future? I was told by a specialist that, depending upon the test results, I would have a short time left or I’d live a normal span of years. Before the result came back, I made some decisions that affected my life. It wasn’t hard to do but it was more difficult to stick to them. But Dexter Cornell (Dennis Quaid) doesn’t have the luxury of time for he has 24 hours to live after being poisoned, some guy kills his wife Gail (Jane Kaczmarek) and tosses her into Dex’s arms and later Detective Ulmer (Brion James) thinks he did it. Panic leads him to take his doctor hostage in an attempt to escape in the hopes of discovering who poisoned him. He first goes to the dorm room of his amateur stalker, Sydney Fuller (Meg Ryan) where he figures he can begin to track down his killer.
