Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002)

Mothers and daughters, the relationship is a complex one. Siddalee Walker (Sandra Bullock) is worried she will turn into her mom, Vivi Abbott Walker (Ellen Burstyn), and has resisted the entreaties of Connor McGill (Angus Macfadyen) to marry, fought of the ticking of he biological clock. She has based this upon what she remembers of her growing up around her parents and not the context of what her memories as a kid truly tell. The sophistication of memory can show what happened but not why they happened. A little perspective and some comparison to others would make quite a difference. But no, kids always know better.
