Man on Fire (2004)

Events often produce changes in us that are so subtle we fail to notice that they’ve affected us until someone comes along to kick start the synapses. And it takes some random instance to make us remember who we are. Lupita aka “Pita” (Dakota Fanning) gets a new bodyguard Creasy (Denzel Washington), who is a former US intelligence agent now working as a mercenary, and she finds him sad and lonely. He finds her chatty and distracting. She casually brings back his humanity and he shows her another side of living in Mexico. When she’s kidnapped, Creasy realizes the impact she has had on him and vows to clear cut anybody who stands in his path and bring havoc to those who took her and anyone who aids them.
