Se7en (1995)

Se7en

Dread may not be one of the seven deadly sins but it sure was present throughout my time watching. Each of the murders is based on one of the sins but it was the last one which embodied two sins that was a full tilt creep out. Detective Lt. William Somerset (Morgan Freeman), Detective David Mills (Brad Pitt) and the killer John Doe (Kevin Spacey) are driving to an empty field where they’ll find Doe’s latest victim. As they approach the field, a delivery truck arrives. Somerset stops the van and the driver reveals a box addressed to Detective Mills. Somerset opens the box and recoils in horror. Doe smarmily talks about visiting Tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow), Mills’s wife, and killing her and taking “her pretty head” as a souvenir.
