Many DVDs merit a second viewing. Some are worth a third look. A few are easily watched a fourth, fifth, sixth or even more times. Most folks have a favourite that they watch on certain anniversaries, particular holidays or when circumstances of the day urge them to queue it up and be swept away once again.

Why are they worth another look? Often, there is something that slips past without registering. It could be a look or a line of dialogue or even a performance by somebody which wasn’t noticed the last time.  It is moments like these that are a delight, an astonishment or make one pause in wonder.

I’ve watched these movies and many others more than once. I found there was something to which I could relate or others could see in their lives. But isn’t that the point of most films?
