Pistol Whipped (2008)

Pistol Whipped

There always seems to be some guy in some bar that thinks verbally abusing the female staff raises his stature amongst his compatriots. Guys like Bruno (Arthur J. Nascarella) who tells Emily (Rue DeBona) that he’ll rape he anally if he wants and thinks he’s being fresh with her. When Matt (Steven Seagal) sits down at his table and asks him to apologize, Bruno says he’d be happy to do it by not wiping his dick in her drapes. Uh oh… not what Matt thinks is sufficient.

Strange Wilderness (2008)

Strange Wilderness

I suppose if I were ten, I’d think that this is one of the bestest movies ever made. Never mind that Ecuador could sub for southern California, that none of the characters seem to be able to find their asses with radar, that their actions seem to be the antithesis of their stated goals, that their moms would soap out their potty mouths and that they seem to score as much dope as they can consume. It is still the bestest.

Untraceable (2008)

Untraceable

Most people know of the old aphorism about revenge being a dish best served cold. But when the object of your need for reprisal is a multitude, how do you go about wreaking it? Perhaps the easiest or simplest is to attack something they all value. In this case, it is all of the peripheral characters who participated in the spreading of details on the death of Owen Reilly’s (Joseph Cross) father. And then publicize the process of murdering them with the zeal that they put into talking publicly about his dad’s suicide and thereby diminishing them. But how do you handle those who are too vague to realize that this is why it is happening to them?
