Total Recall (1990)

Total Recall

Memory is about all we have to distinguish us from everybody else. We could all look like an androgynous Arnold Schwarzenegger but it would be our memories which would forge us into the persons we are. So the implant of false memories even for something as trivial as a fake holiday like they do at Rekall can cause some consternation if it isn’t done properly. This happened to Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and it really plays havoc with his personality and his life. You see it was fake to begin with so that friends aren’t really and his wife Lori (Sharon Stone) isn’t. At least she is honest with him, explaining that what’s there now is only two months old after trying to kick him into next week.
